for ages now I want my 8 year old Teco Optim send DVD player in 8302 pension to him from a DivX capable DVD Player with HDMI and USB connection to exchange. This week I have therefore ordered one from Amazon Philips DVP 5990 . Key features HDMI port, USB support, video scaling to 1080p resolution, a user-friendly menu were without loosing the overview, and also a Divx support. :)
little headache prepare for me the beginning of the 5.1 Dolby Digital sound output. But looking through something I was given the advice in the sound options of the player the option to turn off HDMI audio. After that I could using a coaxial cable, which I found in my Kruschtelbeutel that issue finally Dolby Digital 5.1 sound through my stereo. One-fifth
shortcoming: the Divx movies I store on an external Western Digital MyBook disk are not able to detect. Apparently the DVD player is not with the directory structure that is necessary for the HD satellite receivers, and rightly so. But no problem.
So I have my movies on a Sony copy 1 GB USB flash drive and the DVD player connected. Since my transfer rate only ridiculous part of 2-5 Mb / sec is too slow, I have to soon to put a new and much faster 2 GB flash drive:)
