I have this week finally allowed myself a new laptop and I like the choice the first time on a model of Lenovo. In more practical terms this is about the Lenovo Thinkpad T410i. I am very impressed by the quality of the display (mirror-free), the keyboard (very important for me) and the integrated accessories.
- Matte display, perfect for outdoor use
- integrated webcam
- LED key illumination (FN + Page Up)
- Bluetooth
- multitouch touchpad trackpoint
- biometric fingerprint scanner
It's great I also supported the Ubuntu Linux 10:04 pretty much out-of-the-box. The integrated webcam, I could just test it on the balcony. Fits so well:)
Only the fingerprint scanner makes Ubuntu so far been unfortunately not make a sound. The included standard battery allows cable-free operation for about 4 hours. Using spare battery has enough capacity for the T410 i about 6-8 hours (under optimum conditions)
